Basalt Mountain Road Sopris Ranger District,
White River National Forest
This road is heavily used by mountain bikers, horseback riders, campers, fishermen and hikers. You can access the Basalt Mountain bike loop trail and Cattle Creek Road, via county road #13.
Battlement #2 Trail Rifle Ranger District,
White River National Forest
This section of Battlement would be a good day hike of approximately 3 miles from Beaver Creek to West Mamm.
Beaver Creek Trail Sopris Ranger District,
White River National Forest
This trail offers a pleasant and scenic hike or bike ride, only a few minutes from Glenwood Springs. The trail follows Beaver Creek out of 4-mile Park, climbs a ridge and drops into the Yank Creek drainage.
Beecher Loop Mountain Bike Trail Eagle Ranger District,

The Beecher Loop is located south of Eagle on Hardscrabble Mountain. It is a long ride which is only moderately difficult, as it follows mostly gravel road, with a four mile section of jeep trail.
Cattle Creek Trail Sopris Ranger District,
White River National Forest
The trail travels through aspens and meadows with patches of spruce and fir. It is hard to follow at times so be sure and carry a compass and map. This trail should not be ridden prior to June 21st annually to avoid disturbing calving elk.
Crooked Creek Pass Loop Eagle Ranger District,

This loop south of Eagle, links Yeoman Park, Hat Creek, Crooked Creek Pass and Sylvan Lake. It is recommended for mountain bikes or high clearance, 4 wheel-drive vehicles.
Crystal City Road Sopris Ranger District,

The Deadhorse Mill, or Crystal Mill, a historical landmark, stands next to the Crystal River west of the town of Crystal as a reminder of the mining economy that brought settlers to the region.
Deep Lake/Heart Lake Loop Four-Wheel Drive Road Eagle Ranger District,

This series of four wheel drive roads travel through the Deep Lake and Heart Lake areas on the Flat Tops, northwest of Dotsero.

This road is not a four wheel drive road, but is very dangerous and slippery when wet. Do not drive on it if rain is in the forecast or it has recently rained!
Eagle-Thomasville Road (ET Road) Eagle Ranger District,

This scenic dirt road travels from the town of Eagle, over Crooked Creek Pass, down to Thomasville, near Ruedi Reservoir.

The Firebox Park Loop is located south of Eagle, on Hardscrabble Mountain. It consists of a 4.5 mile climb on dirt road and 4 miles of mostly descent, on jeep trail.
Fulford Trail Loop Mountain Bike Trail Eagle Ranger District,

The Fulford Trail Loop is located south of Eagle, near Yeoman Park. It consists of 5.7 miles of gradual climbing on dirt road and 3.6 miles of descent on a jeep road, the Old Fulford Trail.
Hagerman Pass Road Sopris Ranger District,

The Hagerman Pass area is a relaxing ride packed with tons of beautiful scenery. There are campgrounds at Turquoise lake and Ruedi Reservoir that provide convenient camping and fishing.
Hubbard Cave Road Sopris Ranger District,

Hubbard Cave Road takes you to within 1/4 mile of Hubbard Cave. Hike the trail to the cave which has approximately 3,000 feet of passage with a vertical relief of only 50 feet.
Lead King Basin Road Sopris Ranger District,

Lead King Basin four-wheel drive road passes very close to the boundary of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness and affords some spectacular views of mountains, meadows, and canyons.
Mid Cunningham Creek Road Sopris Ranger District,

Sellar and Diemer Lakes Are near the west end of Forest Road #532. There is fishing and some dispersed camping opportunities at both of these lakes.

Rio Grande Trail Sopris Ranger District,
Carbondale Area
The Carbondale to Glenwood Springs section of the Rio Grande Trail is an easy 12.2 miles. The Rio Grand Trail is over 40 miles long and runs from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.
Salt Creek Trail Eagle Ranger District,

This trail south of Eagle travels from Salt Creek up to Dubach Meadows.
Schofield Pass Road Sopris Ranger District,
White River National Forest
Schofield was an old mining town and is now a ghost town with a number of old building still standing. The first portion of the road passes through a narrow, steep canyon which contains a number of picturesque water falls.
South Derby Four-Wheel Drive Road Eagle Ranger District,

This very rough four-wheel drive road leads from the Derby loop road, near Burns, to Crescent Lake.
Stump Park Four-Wheel Drive Road Eagle Ranger District,

Ten Mile Park Four-Wheel Drive Road Eagle Ranger District,

These scenic roads to the north of Deep Creek provide a good area for four- wheel driving, motorcycling, or mountain biking.
The Flat Tops Area Eagle Ranger District,

The area discussed here consists of the south end of the Flat Tops, accessed by the Coffee Pot Road, which provides a vast area for multiple outdoor recreation activities.
Thompson Creek Road Sopris Ranger District,

Thompson Creek Road provides access for many hiking and biking trails including the following: South Thompson, Lake Ridge Lakes, Mid Thompson, South Branch of Mid Thompson and Dexter Park. It passes through aspen groves and crosses many small streams.
Three Forks Trail Rifle Ranger District,

The trail follows Three Forks Creek, with a number of crossings and beaver ponds along the way. The ridgetop offers an outstanding view of the East Rifle Creek drainage.
Yeoman Park to Fulford Cave Campground Mountain Bike Trail Eagle Ranger District,

This relatively short and easy ride follows a dirt road from Yeoman Park Campground to Fulford Cave Campground.
