Activity Location Description
Bluebird Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This is a long hike to a scenic lake. It begins at the Wild Basin Trailhead and leads past Copeland Falls, Calypso Cascades, Ouzel Falls and Ouzel Lake on the way to Bluebird Lake.
East Inlet Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins near Grand Lake and leads past Adams Falls, Lone Pine Lake, Lake Verna and Spirit Lake.
Fern Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins at the end of Moraine Park Road and leads to The Pool, at the confluences of Spruce and Fern Creeks with the Big Thompson River. It is a good winter hike.
Glacier Gorge Trail (to Alberta Falls) Rocky Mountain National Park This trail leads past Alberta Falls, Glacier Falls, Mills Lake and Ribbon Falls before ending at Black Lake. The beautiful view from Mills Lake is one of the park's finest.
Knight Ridge Trail Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
The Knight Ridge Trail is located to the northeast of Granby. It leads from the Arapaho Bay Campground, along the northeast side of Lake Granby and Shadow Mountain Lake to Grand Lake Village.
Lake Granby Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
7,256 acre Lake Granby is one of Colorado's largest man-made reservoirs. It is located in the Arapaho National Recreation Area, at an elevation of 8,280 feet.
Lost Lake Trail (Sulphur Ranger District) Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
This relatively short trail leading to Lost Lake, is located north of Granby, on the east side of the Bowen Gulch Protection Area.
Meadow Creek Reservoir Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Meadow Creek is a scenic 50 acre reservoir southeast of Granby at an elevation of nearly 10,000 feet.
Monarch Lake Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Monarch Lake is a 150 acre lake located east of Granby in the Arapaho National Recreation Area, at an elevation of 8,350 feet.
North Inlet Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins near the north side of Grand Lake and leads past Cascade Falls then continues up North Inlet to either Lake Nanita or the Continental Divide.
Shadow Mountain Lake Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Shadow Mountain Lake is a 1,400 acre reservoir located north of Granby in the Arapaho National Recreation Area. It sits between Lake Granby and Grand Lake at an elevation of 8,367 feet.
Timber Lake Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail on the west side of the park begins off Highway 34 in the Kawuneeche Valley. It is a strenuous 4.8 mile hike up to Timber Lake.
Timberline Falls Trail Rocky Mountain National Park This trail begins at Glacier Gorge Junction. Scenic Loch Vale is enjoyed while on your way to the beautiful Timberline Falls. The trail continues to Lake of Glass and Sky Pond.
Willow Creek Reservoir Sulphur Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Willow Creek is a 750 acre reservoir located north of Granby and west of Lake Granby. It sits at an elevation of 8,130 feet, in the Arapaho National Recreation Area.
