This segment of the Colorado Trail leads users through lodgepole, spruce-fir and aspen forests. It consists of moderately difficult terrain.
Colorado Trail (Turquoise Lake to Halfmoon Creek) Leadville Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
This section of the Colorado Trail is known as #10. It begins west of Turquoise Lake and ends 11.5 miles later in the Halfmoon Creek drainage.
Pine Creek Trail Leadville Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
Pine Creek Trail provides access to Collegiate Peaks Wilderness, Colorado Trail (1776), South Pine Creek Trail (1458), Frenchman Creek Trail (1457) and Missouri Gulch Trail (1469).
South Fork Clear Creek Four-Wheel Drive Road Leadville Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
The South Fork of Clear Creek Road begins at Winfield and ends at the road closure just south of the Banker Mine. The road is extremely rough and recommended for high clearance vehicles only.
