North Fork Reservoir is the main attraction for the North Fork Campground located 16 miles northwest of Poncha Springs. Other attractions in the area include four-wheel driving and hiking.
O'Haver Lake Salida Ranger District,

O'Haver Lake is located 9 miles southwest of Poncha Springs. The site provides access to lake and stream fishing, hiking, biking and nonmotorized boating.
Pomeroy Lakes Trail Salida Ranger District,

Pomeroy Lakes lie in an alpine basin that is accessible by 4 WD. The trail to the lakes extends 2 miles round trip. Fishing is good in both lakes for cutthroat and rainbow trout.
Stout Creek Trail Salida Ranger District,

Stout Creek Lakes are accessible from the Rainbow Trail. The trail leads west into the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness Area. No mechanized or motorized vehicles are permitted on this trail.
Waterdogs Lakes Trail Salida Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
This trail leads 2 miles west from Monarch Pass to Waterdog Lakes. The lakes are surrounded by 12,000' peaks that form the Continental Divide.
