Activity Location Description
Gardner Park Recreation Area Yampa Ranger District,
Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
Gardner Park Reservoir Recreation Area offers dispersed camping, fishing, a handicapped accessible interpretive trail, hiking and mountain biking. It is located in the Bear River area southwest of Yampa, at an elevation of 10,200 feet.
Hot Springs Trail Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District,
Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
This trail near Strawberry Park Hot Springs, north of Steamboat Springs, serves as a good short mountain bike trail. The rider can easily link to several other longer rides from trail #1169.
Morrison Divide Trail Yampa Ranger District,
Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
The Morrison Divide Trail #1174 is located to the northwest of Lynx Pass. It can be accessed from either the north or the south end, both along the Lynx Pass Road.
Mountain View Trail Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District,
Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
The Mountain View Trail, west of Steamboat Springs, connects the Steamboat Ski Area (Mt. Werner) with Long Lake. Its predominant use will likely be mountain biking.
Spring Creek Trail Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District,
Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
The Spring Creek Trail begins on the northeast edge of Steamboat Springs. It leads up to the Buffalo Pass Road at Dry Lake Campground. It is close to town, and popular for hiking, running, and mountain biking.

Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
This list includes some of the designated mountain bike trails on the Routt National Forest, in the Steamboat Springs area. Some of the trails follow closed roads, some follow 4 WD roads and some follow single track trails.
Wyoming Trail Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District,
Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests
This 50 mile trail generally follows the Continental Divide from roughly Rabbit Ears Pass, north into Wyoming. It can be traveled in sections, because it can be accessed from a number of different points.
